I'll overwhelm 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair confronted each other to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Ex two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Size Difference
As the two fighters participated in the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really going ahead.
