The visionary game developer, who helped create the wildly popular first-person shooter Call of Duty, has died in a vehicle crash in California aged 55.

His passing was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the video game company that he helped create.

The celebrated industry figure died after his automobile collided and was engulfed in flames on a motorway in LA on Sunday morning, according to.
